Le Carré talks about his life and work at the Sheldonian Theatre

In March 2010, as part of the Sunday Times Literary Festival, John le Carré gave a talk about his life and work.

He spoke to a packed house at Oxford’s Sheldonian Theatre, built between 1664 and 1669 by Sir Christopher Wren, originally as the home of the Oxford University Press.

People in the audience will remember the evening as one of high entertainment and deep insight at the feet of a master story-teller.

Exclusively for the John le Carré website, we are reproducing here the text of the talk, in its original typescript.
